USPA can restore the Azerbaijan-Ukraine ferry crossing

The Sea Ports Administration is finalizing negotiations on the restoration of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine ferry crossing.

Currently, Ukraine is at the final stage of negotiations regarding the resumption of ferry services from Azerbaijan to Ukraine. This was announced by USPA  head Yuriy Lytvyn at the Grain Storege Forum conference,  Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“Negotiations are at the final stage regarding the resumption of ferry transportation from Baku to Ukraine and transit through all the countries that the ships pass through. In the near future, we hope that the ferry crossing will be operational,” he said.

Lytvyn specified that the operation of the ferry line will depend on the market: on the yield of agricultural crops, on the operation of the entire agriculture, the nomenclature of goods for export-import and the functioning of the economy in general.

“For the ports, you can be calm. They will work 24/7. We have everything necessary for this. We hope that the money we jointly earn will be invested in the infrastructure of the ports, and it will be promptly restored,” Lytvyn stressed.
