In Ukraine, R-73 missiles were installed on naval drones

Air-to-air missiles with a homing system were installed on the Magura marine platform.

This was told by the commander of the special unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Group 13” in an interview with Maksym Krapivnyi.

According to him, one of the new modifications of the Magura unmanned sea platform already has the R-73 missile on board.

R-73 is a Soviet-made air-to-air missile with an infrared homing system.

Magura maritime attack drones equipped with such missiles have already been used during combat operations in the Black Sea, and this has become a serious factor of fear and risk for Russian aviation.

“Such developments are effective – Russians are very afraid of them. When they see them, they are afraid to even fly up. And the uniqueness is that no one has such a thing. This weaponry has already been installed, and it will produce results,” said the commander of the special unit.

Previously, the USM said that Magura drones can attack any enemy targets within a radius of 800 km.
