In Mykolaiv, after the war, the shipbuilding plant was reorganized
After the end of the war, the shipyard in Mykolaiv will be reorganized and the Marine Industrial Park will be built.
The project of the Maritime Industrial Park (MIP) was presented at the BLUE SUMMIT event in Mykolaiv, “Ukrinform” reports.
The project will provide jobs for 4,000 people, attract additional investments and provide an opportunity to replenish the city budget by UAH 180 million annually.
“The Maritime Industrial Park will provide the opportunity to create 4,000 new jobs in Mykolaiv and increase local budget revenues. In particular, the city will receive UAH 12 million per year only as payment for land lease. The total tax revenues will increase by UAH 340 million, of which the city budget receives more than UAH 180 million. It is no less important that the MIP will also contribute to the further attraction of investments,” said Volodymyr Samoilenko, head of the group of developers of the MIP project.
They plan to allocate a 180-hectare plot for the park in Mykolaiv, which has good logistics, because it is located between two highways: M14 (Kherson) and H11 — (Bashtanka, Kryvyi Rih). There is a railway nearby.
Also, MIP will encourage entrepreneurs to create new industries. Here it will be 25% cheaper than elsewhere, because the industrial park will be able to solve three important problems: connecting to engineering networks, providing land plots and reducing the cost of production.
Another basic project that will help restore Mykolaiv is the reorganization of the Mykolaiv Shipyard. The goal of the project, which was also presented at the BLUE SUMMIT, is to preserve shipbuilding as a direction of the company’s activity and ensure the long-term perspective of its development. This can be achieved if high-tech production is introduced.
According to the chairman of the Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centers, project portfolio manager Artem Vashchylenka, the community of Mykolaiv should offer its own vision of the future of the territory of the oldest shipyard in the city, which has a favorable location.
“This project offers a new concept of this enterprise, which involves the development of small-scale shipbuilding, attracting investments and innovative technologies. Such a result can be achieved within the framework of the creation of a technology park in this territory,” Vashchylenko said.
