A record number of cargoes were transported through the Ukrainian maritime corridor

During the 10 months of operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, 55 million tons of cargo were transported.

The cargo turnover of the ports of Great Odesa for 10 months amounted to 55 million tons of cargo. Also during this period, 1,954 vessels were loaded, reports the Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine.

Since the start of the maritime corridor, 37.4 million tons of agricultural products have been exported from Ukraine to 45 countries.

The ministry noted that the constant increase in the volume of transportation testifies to the effectiveness of the functioning of the sea corridor, which Ukraine opened independently, exclusively with the assistance of the United Defense Forces.

“Despite the constant shelling of the port infrastructure, Ukraine remains a top exporter of agricultural products and a guarantor of world food security. Currently, 68 ships are waiting to approach the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenny, exporting almost 2 million tons of cargo,” the message says.

As previously reported by USM, since the beginning of the current marketing season, Ukraine has exported 49.7 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
