In the port of Machala in Ecuador, almost 3.2 tons of cocaine were found, which were supposed to be sent to the aggressor country. Its value in Russia would be $254.6 million.
The cocaine was hidden in boxes of bananas that were to be sent to St. Petersburg, rosZMI reports.
The police seized the drugs. They were valued at $6.3 million, but upon arrival in St. Petersburg, the cost would increase to $254.6 million.
As part of the criminal case, two people were arrested, including the director of the marketing company, which was behind the supply, in connection with the fact of illegal trafficking of drugs in a large volume.
USM previously reported that 46 kg of cocaine was found in a Greek port. The contraband was hidden on board the ship in a container with bananas.
