Bilhorod-Dnister port plans to attract foreign investments

Roman Didkov, who will take the position of Deputy Director of Investments, will join the management team of Bilhorod-Dnister Port.

We will remind, currently they are trying to privatize the Bilhorod-Dniester port, however, as noted by the head of the port, Oksana Kiktenko, there are few Ukrainian companies willing.

According to Kiktenko, Didkov’s appointment should help the company’s management to attract foreign investments.

“He joined the work at a similar difficult time that the newly appointed team found in June 2021. By that time, the workers had not received salaries for two years, and the cargo flow was scarce. The first repayment of salary debts was made at the end of 2021, and the stability of salary payments was achieved from June 2022,” Kiktenko said.

The head of the port noted that privatization is “exactly about new investments.”

“Four previous auctions did not find domestic investors willing to purchase the property complex of the port under existing conditions. Attracting foreign capital will change the negative experience. Roman Didkov has many years of experience in holding international conferences and exhibitions in the field of transport logistics, infrastructure and cargo,” Kiktenko added.

It will be recalled that earlier the head of the State Property Fund promised that the Bslhorod-Dnister port “will definitely be privatized.”
