Turkey announced when the corvette “Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi” will be handed over to Ukraine
Turkey has determined when the Ada-class corvette “Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi” will go to sea and be handed over to Ukraine.
The corvette will make its maiden voyage in 2026. This was stated by the general director of the Turkish shipbuilding company STM Ozgur Gülerüz, Ukrinform reports.
Construction of the ship within the project began in 2022. The corvette will sail for the first time in 2026, and it will be handed over to the Navy of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2027.
Guleruz added that Turkey will continue work on strengthening the Ukrainian fleet.
We will remind, the corvette “Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi” was launched on Thursday, August 1, in Turkey. The ship was built at the military shipyard of the İstanbul Shipyard Naval enterprise on the order of Ukraine.
