A vessel with humanitarian grain was loaded in the port of Pivdennyi

23,000 tons of Ukrainian corn have already been sent on a bulk carrier under the flag of Panama as part of the humanitarian initiative.

3,847.9 tons of corn will be delivered to Mozambique and 19,179.6 tons to Malawi on the “Amira Nour” dry cargo, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

The grain is delivered within the framework of the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine (also known as Grain from Ukraine).

According to MarineTraffic, the vessel is currently on its way to Turkey, having left the Pivdennyi port on August 26.

“First, the cargo goes to Mozambique by sea, and only then will it be transported to Malawi by land. Upon arrival, the corn, along with other products, will be distributed to socially vulnerable categories of the local population. “Ukrainian corn will provide food for about 200,000 people in Mozambique and 900,000 people in Malawi for 3 months,” the message reads.

It should be noted that the supply of grain was made possible thanks to the donor contributions of Sweden, the Netherlands, France, South Korea and Portugal.
