Ukraine exported a fifth of the grain planned for this year
In total, in the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukraine plans to export 43.2 million tons of grain.
As of September 16, in the current marketing year, 21% of the entire harvest was sent for export. This was reported by the Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitalii Koval, Ukrinform writes.
So, today Ukrainian farmers exported 8.76 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. According to forecasts of Minagro, the total export in 2024/2025 of the Republic of Moldova will amount to 43.2 million tons.
As part of the export plans, it is expected to deliver 11.5 million tons of wheat, 1.5 million tons of barley and about 19.2 million tons of corn.
According to the latest USDA data, the wheat harvest forecast in Ukraine in 2024/25 was increased by 0.7 million tons to 22.3 million tons. At the same time, exports are forecast at the level of 15 million tons (+1 million tons).
In August 2024, seaports of Ukraine handled 7 million tons of cargo, which is twice as much as in the same period of 2023, when 3.3 million tons were handled.
Recently, USM wrote that the volume of unloading of grain trucks in the ports of Great Odesa has increased.
