Turkey denied the fake that Ukraine paid for the drones with grain

Ankara claims that the spread of false rumors was aimed at discrediting Turkey’s military exports and agricultural policy.

Turkey denied information that Ukraine paid for drones with wheat, and Turkish grain was allegedly buried in the ground. “Ukrinform” writes about this.

“The claim that some mass media recently published and spread in social networks that Ukraine paid for the UAVs purchased from our country with wheat, while Turkish wheat was “buried in the ground” is a complete lie,” the press service of the Ministry of Trade of Turkey said.

The department’s press service emphasized that a 130% duty is currently in effect on wheat imports to Turkey, which aims to protect local farmers. At most, the import of wheat for further processing into flour was stopped as early as June 21, 2024. It will last at least until October 15.

“Obviously, putting such accusations on the agenda, associating them with our country’s export of combat UAVs to Ukraine, is a deliberate attempt to overshadow the exports achieved by our state in the defense industry,” the statement concluded.

Currently, the Ministry does not indicate which mass media published false information.

USM previously wrote that Turkey currently has the largest military fleet in the Black Sea. Before that, the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully deprived Russia of this status.
