Spanish farmers will organize a rally in the port against the import of Ukrainian grain

Farmers from Spain demand to reduce the import of Ukrainian grain to the country. They have already announced the rally.

On September 25, protests by Spanish farmers will take place in the port of Santander (Spain), reports the organization Unión de Uniones, which represents their interests.

Agrarians demand to reduce the import of Ukrainian grain. They claim that excessive imports of products from Ukraine are collapsing grain prices in Spain.

Farmers have already held one rally on September 23 — in front of the EU building in Madrid.

The Unión de Uniones organization claims that in 2023 the import of Ukrainian grain amounted to almost 8.4 million tons, and in the first half of 2024 – almost 6.5 million tons. Spain imports more than half of Ukrainian grain exported to EU countries.

Earlier, Polish farmers said that they could return to protests on the border with Ukraine after the completion of field work.
