During the exercises, the participants exchanged experience in detecting, identifying and neutralizing mines in water.
In Bulgaria, the Sea Breeze 2024.2 series training was successfully completed. This is reported by “Army Inform”.
The diving teams of the participating countries demonstrated their professional skills and had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the unique experience of Ukrainian divers.
For two weeks, they jointly practiced underwater descents, searching for mine-like objects and their destruction with the help of modern underwater drones and diving teams.
In addition, Ukrainian specialists were assessed during the exercises, which is an important step towards increasing the compatibility of the Armed Forces with the armies of NATO member states.
Achieving the necessary level of interoperability will allow servicemen of the Ukrainian Navy to perform joint tasks with Alliance units.
The topic of demining water areas is extremely relevant in the conditions of the current war waged by Russia against Ukraine.
The mine threat level in the Azov-Black Sea basin remains high, so training in this direction is one of the key priorities for the Ukrainian Navy.
The day before, USM wrote that Ukraine has improved its Black Sea demining capabilities.
