Ukrzaliznytsia transported almost 9,000 wagons of grain with a 30% discount
Ukrzaliznytsia provided a 30 percent discount on the transportation of almost 9,000 wagons of grain for export.
8,917 wagons with grain were delivered by railway within the scope of the preferential tariff for the transportation of such cargoes for export from individual stations, writes Rail.insider.
Valery Tkachov, deputy director of the transportation technology and commercial work department of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, said that 11,113 wagons have been transported to export stations within the framework of the program. Of them:
• 8917 wagons with grain;
• 964 wagons with seeds;
• 672 wagons with meal;
• 560 wagons with oil.
Tkachev called on the senders to take advantage of the discount provided by the government, because the limit of funds is limited. As of October 9, approximately UAH 208.6 million has already been used within the framework of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, in particular UAH 143.99 million for the transportation of agricultural products.
Previously, USM reported that Ukrzaliznytsia would not provide a 30% discount on transportation to the Danube ports.
