Spike Brokers: shipowners show reluctance to enter Ukrainian ports

The lack of free tonnage and regular shelling of the port infrastructure of Ukraine led to an increase in freight rates in various directions.

This was reported by Spike Brokers analysts.

According to their data, shipowners show reluctance to enter Ukrainian ports, due to which charterers face a shortage of transport. Tariff rates for fires in the direction of Italy and Spain increased by an average of $2.

Freight offers to Turkey from Danube ports also increased by $2. However, the situation with barges remains stable, and the cost of transportation remains at a low level.

Market rates of transportation from river ports:

• Izmail – Romania (1-3 thousand tons) – 10€

• Ishmael – school. coast of Italy (5-7 thousand tons) – $32-34

• Izmail – Turkey (5-6 thousand tons) – $26

Market rates of transportation from sea ports:

• Chornomorsk – Egypt (10 thousand tons) – $35-37

• Chornomorsk – east. the coast of Italy (30-35 thousand tons) – $25-26

• Chornomorsk – east. the coast of Spain (25-30 thousand tons) – $25-27.

As USM previously wrote, the Russian attacks did not stop the work of the Ukrainian maritime corridor — the Black Sea ports are working normally. Despite the shelling, 85 ships are heading to the ports of Ukraine.
