The Russian Federation uses ships to distract Ukrainian air defense during massive attacks.

Missile carriers of the Russian Federation at sea demonstrate low efficiency, so the enemy increasingly uses them to distract Ukrainian air defense systems. This was stated by the spokesman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, Ukrinform writes.

Pletenchuk emphasized that danger is always present, because Russian ships only need a few hours to go to sea and launch missiles. However, as practice shows, even when there are one or two submarines at sea, especially if one of them is a missile carrier, they mostly perform the task of protecting the base, and not launching missiles.

He added that even when ships launch missiles independently, without coordination with other attacks, their effectiveness is very low.

“Even if the ships go to sea in the number of several units of cruise missile carriers, this does not mean that there will necessarily be shelling. After all, as of now, the low efficiency of these weapons systems forced the enemy to use them more to distract air defense during massive missile attacks. Therefore, we can say that the situation is currently stable,” concluded the spokesman of the Navy.

The day before, USM wrote that as a result of attacks on Odesa ports, the Russian army destroyed more than 100,000 tons of agricultural products.
