The man who killed the commander of a Russian submarine was sentenced to 25 years
The Krasnodar court of the Russian Federation sentenced a man who killed the CO of a Russian submarine to 25 years in prison.
Serhii Denysenko, who previously shot the former commander of the Russian submarine “Krasnodar”, was sentenced to 25 years in prison, rosZMI reports.
The verdict was passed by the Krasnodar Regional Court. After the murder of Russian submarine commander Stanislav Rzytskyi, a criminal case was opened against Denysenko under the articles of murder, illegal possession of weapons, as well as “treason”.
According to the court’s decision, Denysenko will spend the first five years of his sentence in prison, and the remaining 20 years in a high-security prison. In addition to the prison term, the court fined him 500,000 rubles and charged him five million rubles in favor of the father of the murdered Russian.
According to the investigation, on July 10, 2023, Denysenko shot Rzhytskyi 8 times in one of Krasnodar’s parks, which led to the death of the occupant. The investigation notes that Denysenko tried to leave Russia. The investigators also believe that the murder was committed on the order of the Ukrainian special services.
Rzytskyi was a captain of the second rank. He is listed in the “Peacemaker” base for “directly participating in an open military invasion of Ukraine.”
From 2013 to 2016, Rzhytskyi commanded the B-871 Alrosa submarine, and from 2016 to 2023, the Krasnodar submarine. Both ships are part of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
According to NGL.media, Rzhytskyi is included in the list of captains of Russian submarines, one of which attacked Vinnytsia on July 14, 2022. Then 27 people died as a result of shelling of the city center.
