2,900 ships have already passed through the Ukrainian maritime corridor
During the operation of the maritime corridor, 79.1 million tons of cargo were exported from Ukraine.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
During the operation of the Ukrainian Corridor, more than 2,900 ships have passed through it, exporting 52.7 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products.
In total, 79.1 million tons of goods were transported through the corridor to different parts of the world, from Africa to Asia, Europe and America.
“Today, on International Black Sea Day, we remind you of the importance of free and safe navigation for the stability of world markets and food security. The Ukrainian Corridor has become a reliable channel thanks to which we supply Ukrainian products to 50 countries of the world, despite the challenges of the war, – stressed the head of the USPA Yurii Lytvyn.
USPA added that exports from Ukrainian ports support food security at the global level and help avoid a food crisis.
“One of the main tasks that Ukraine is working on is the provision of free and safe navigation that complies with the principles of the UN Charter. The free movement of ships through the Black Sea is not only critically important for the economic support of Ukraine, but also serves as a stabilizing factor for other states that depend on Ukrainian agricultural products,” the USPA stressed.
Previously, USM reported that an export regime for agricultural products was introduced in Ukraine.
