Norway will allocate $4.5 million for the Grain from Ukraine initiative

Norway is allocating an additional 50 million Norwegian kroner ($4.5 million) to the Grain from Ukraine initiative.

This is stated in a statement by the Norwegian government.

“Despite the challenges posed by Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine continues to support global food systems by providing necessary assistance to countries in need,” said Minister of the country Anna Beate Kristiansen Twinneraim.

It is also noted that such actions underline Norway’s commitment to supporting global food security and helping countries most affected by hunger and high food prices.

“This program demonstrates the power of international cooperation,” said Beate Kristiansen Twinneraim.

Earlier it became known that the participating countries of the Third International Summit on Food Security will allocate $44 million to the humanitarian program Grain from Ukraine.
