The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitalii Koval, shared the opinion that there is currently a need to improve logistics and restore container lines from Odesa ports.

The minister said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Vitalii Koval, it is now extremely necessary to return “absolutely all container carriers and make their flights regular.”

“So that a ship carrying 300, 500, 1200 containers leaves Odesa regularly and several times a week, so that foreign partners can see that the magic of small numbers works when transporting peas, lentils, oil, and sunflower seeds,” Koval added.

The minister will note that the return of regular flights will allow for an increase in trade turnover with countries that do not have large volumes of consumption of a particular product.

“I was surprised that Italy opened another container line to Egypt. So, it is profitable and promising,” Koval noted.

Earlier, USM reported that container turnover in Ukrainian ports may increase this year.
