Ukrzaliznytsia changes the plan for forming trains heading to the port of Odesa

JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is changing the train formation plan for the Odesa Sea Commercial Port.

This was announced by the Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of UZ Valerii Tkachev, reports Rail.insider.

Thus, from April 5, UZ is updating the procedure for forming trains heading to the Odesa Port.

Trains will be passed as follows:

• with a destination at the stations Chornomorska (TIS, Odesa Port Plant), Berehove – along the route Znamyanka-Pomichna-Kolosivka and back;

• with a destination at the stations Odesa-Port, Odesa-Peresyp, Odesa-Zastava I, Poromna, Kseniyeve, Chornomorsk-Port, Izmail – along the route Znamyanka-Pomichna-Podilsk-Odesa-Zastava I and back;

• from the Kryvyi Rih region of the regional branch of the “Prydniprovska Zaliznytsia” with the destination at the stations Chornomorska (TIS, OP3) and Berehove – along the route Tymkove—Kropivnitska—Kolosivka and back.

This is done, in particular, to ensure the stable operation of traction substations and the even distribution of wagon traffic on the sections Pomichna—Podilsk and Pomichna—Chornomorska. The changes will also allow for the rational use of locomotives and prevent overtime work of locomotive crews of TM-4 and TM-7.

Earlier, the USM reported that the Cabinet of Ministers had appointed a new board at Ukrzaliznytsia.
