Among the favorites in the tender of the Algerian state grain agency OAIC are Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.

The OAIC purchased at least 570 thousand tons of milling wheat in the tender held on April 16. According to market participants, the volumes may increase to 600 thousand tons, writes ASAP Agri.

The purchased wheat will be supplied in two stages: from June 1 to 15 and from June 16 to 30. It is expected that the main suppliers will be the countries of the Black Sea region, in particular Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. French wheat was again not allowed to participate, despite recent signals of warming relations between Paris and Algeria.

The purchase price was $ 267.5 per ton on C&F terms – $ 1 less compared to the previous OAIC tender on March 12, when the agency purchased at least 450 thousand tons. tons for delivery in May.

Prices for Ukrainian wheat with a protein content of 11.5% remain stable: as of April 16, they were 245-246 USD/t (FOB Reni-Izmail), which is almost unchanged since March 12.

Earlier, USM reported that Turkey reduced purchases of Ukrainian wheat by almost tenfold.
