Kremlin threatens Baltics: Russia will defend its tankers “with everything”

After the conflict with Estonia, the Kremlin declared its readiness for “tough responses,” but supposedly within the framework of international law.
The Kremlin declared that it was ready to protect Russian ships in the Baltic Sea by all available means. This was reported by “European Pravda” with reference to the words of the spokesman for the Russian President Dmitryi Peskov.
At the same time, Putin’s press secretary called the attempt to arrest a “shadow” Russian tanker by Estonian services a “pirate attack.”
Recall that earlier the Estonian Navy tried to arrest a Russian tanker under sanctions that was passing near submarine cables. The case is interesting because it was the first time that a Russian fighter jet entered NATO airspace to “protect” its ship. NATO fighters also took to the air.
In response, the Russians detained the “Green Admire” oil tanker, which was heading from the Estonian port of Sillamäe to Rotterdam.
Estonia assured that the incident with the fighter jet will not affect the country’s plans to counter the Russian “shadow fleet”.
