A kamikaze drone washed up on the coast of Istanbul

A drone was discovered on a beach near Istanbul. The find was handed over to military sappers for examination.
On Wednesday, at around 12:30, local residents noticed an object resembling a drone on Uzunkum beach in the Şile district of Istanbul. Coast guard units and rescuers were called to the scene, writes “European Pravda”.
The lower part of the found device has a mechanism similar to an explosive device. The origin of the drone has not yet been officially established. The drone was seized and handed over to sappers of the Turkish Navy for examination.
This is not the first case of the detection of suspicious objects near the Turkish coast since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Previously, sea mines and explosive devices brought by currents from the area of combat operations in the Black Sea have been repeatedly found off the country’s coast.
Recently, USM reported that the USPA is testing underwater drones to monitor infrastructure in ports.
