Russia plans to involve Chinese company to develop port in Crimea, — Foreign Intelligence Service

The occupation administration has decided to involve Chinese businesses in the construction of transport infrastructure in the annexed Crimea.

This was reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

Thus, according to the FIS, the head of the occupation administration of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced the existence of preliminary agreements regarding the following facilities:

• Kerch seaport (Russia actively uses it for illegal exports);

• infrastructure of Lake Donuzlav (where the Russian Navy base is located).

The occupation authorities of Crimea plan to invite potential Chinese builders to visit Crimea. Among them is China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), which is one of the largest companies in the construction of railways and transport highways.

According to the FIS, the total amount of investment is estimated at $10 billion.

It should be noted that Russia continues to use the Kerch sea fishing port as a hub for the illegal export of Ukrainian resources from the occupied territories. Thus, in April 2025, gas tankers with erased identification and a train with grain cars were spotted at the port.

Earlier, USM reported that the Russians are actively preparing the Mariupol port for military cargo.
