Russian bulk carriers caught again exporting stolen Ukrainian grain to Egypt

The “Fedor” and “Zafar” vessels are ignoring the sanctions regime by exporting stolen grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Russian cargo vessels continue to illegally transport Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied Crimea, using routes to Egyptian ports. This was reported by OSINT journalist Kateryna Yaresko, who systematically records such operations.

On July 8, the “Fedor” bulk carrier (IMO: 9431977) was spotted in the closed port of occupied Feodosia. The vessel arrived in the Black Sea from Alexandria, Egypt, turned off its AIS transponder on June 25, and after loading, headed towards Egypt.

Another vessel, Zafar (IMO: 9720263), on July 13, stopped for unloading in the Egyptian port of Deheila. According to satellite monitoring data, from June 25 to 30, the bulk carrier was at the Avlita terminal in occupied Sevastopol (coordinates: 44.625, 33.552), where it loaded grain. The shipper is listed as Mostagro (TIN 9701208412).

Both vessels are regular violators of the sanctions regime – they enter closed Crimean ports, turn off AIS and hide real routes.

Recently, USM wrote that the Russian-flagged bulk carrier “Matros Shevchenko”, which has repeatedly participated in grain thefts from Ukraine, unloaded in Alexandria.
