Greece will help Ukraine strengthen air defense and restore the Odesa port

The President held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece and also announced joint mechanisms with NATO for the procurement of American weapons.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The parties agreed on steps to strengthen Ukraine’s security capabilities and restore infrastructure.
One of the key issues of the conversation was the situation with Ukraine’s air defense. The Greek side confirmed its intention to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities in the face of increasing intensity of Russian missile strikes.
The President also announced the creation of a new instrument for joint procurement of American weapons within the framework of cooperation between NATO member states.
They also discussed Mitsotakis’ initiative to restore the port infrastructure of Odessa and develop transport and logistics corridors in Southeastern Europe. According to Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian and Greek teams have already begun work on its implementation.
Also, the day before, USM wrote that the Shipping Administration would cooperate with Denmark in the field of maritime security.
