Zelenskyy: Trump can influence EU countries that still buy Russian oil

It is Washington’s position that may be decisive for countries such as Hungary and Slovakia, which continue to buy Russian energy resources.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the US position may be a key factor in the refusal of some European countries from energy cooperation with Russia. This is reported by Ukrinform.
The President emphasized that EU leaders are oriented towards Washington, and Donald Trump’s decisive actions can push them to take tougher steps.
During a conversation with journalists, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is actively working with European states, urging them to gradually abandon Russian energy resources. At the same time, he acknowledged that this process is extremely difficult.
The Head of State emphasized that the example of the United States will force European leaders to reconsider their positions.
“Orban cannot be left alone, and there are other countries that provide infrastructure for Russian energy resources,” the President noted.
We will remind you that the EU recently introduced the 19th package of sanctions, the restrictions also apply to the Russian “shadow fleet”.
