A ship on which the court and the Bureau of Economic Security had previously seized a cargo of soybeans, has left Ukraine.

The “Alaa M” vessel, which was stuck in the port of Pivdennyi due to the seizure of a cargo of soybeans, left the port and continued its route.

This was reported by the publishing house Yurydychna Praktika.

Thus, in August 2025, the “Alaa M” vessel was detained in the waters of the seaport of Pivdenny due to financial claims by detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) to a Ukrainian exporting company.

“Prior to this, 5,300 tons of soybeans were loaded onto the vessel. At the request of BEB, the Kyiv District Court of Odesa imposed an arrest on the cargo that was already on board, and the vessel was ready to leave the port and even managed to close the border,” the report says.

The lawyers studied the case materials and, together with the lawyers of the cargo owner and charterer, they managed to achieve the cancellation of the arrest of the cargo.

The company added that since the vessel belongs to a Turkish shipowner, the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Odesa was informed about the situation, which provided support to the shipowner during communication with local authorities involved in the detention of the vessel.

The vessel has now left the port of Pivdenny and continued its route.

As previously reported by USM, in August of this year, detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security reported that they had uncovered a scheme to export 5,400 tons of soybeans worth about $2 million through the port of Pivdennyi.
