Over 134 thousand TEU: Ukrainian ports set a new container turnover record


For 8 months of operation in 2025, Ukrainian seaports processed 134,191 TEU – this is 3.3% more than the annual figure in 2024.

“Despite the war, shelling and numerous challenges of global logistics, Ukrainian ports continue to demonstrate resilience and stable growth,” the Association of International Forwarders of Ukraine reports.

According to information available to AMEU, for 8 months of operation (January-August) in 2025, Ukrainian seaports processed 134,191 TEU – this is 3.3% more than the annual figure in 2024 and the largest figure since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Transportation structure:

• Export – 66,892 TEU;

• Import – 63,042 TEU;

• Transit – 4,257 TEU.

The AMEU noted that such results are an important signal for business that Ukrainian ports remain reliable even in crisis conditions and are capable of servicing export and import cargo.
