Two Romanian boats violated the state border of Ukraine on the Danube

During the day, border guards of the Izmail detachment recorded two cases of illegal crossing of the Ukrainian border on the Danube River.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
Border guards detained two Romanian boats with a difference of just a few hours. Each boat had two Romanian citizens on board.
As it turned out, both crews went to the reservoir for fishing, but did not have maps and navigation devices with them. Because of this, the men lost their bearings, confused the mouth of the Danube and accidentally ended up in the internal waters of Ukraine.

For violating the state border, protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up against four Romanian citizens under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Illegal Crossing or Attempt to Illegally Cross the State Border of Ukraine”.
All violators were transferred to their Romanian colleagues in the readmission procedure.
