USPA announced a tender for UAH 97 million: the entrance infrastructure of the port of Chornomorsk is being reconstructed

The modernization should solve the problem of traffic jams and increase the capacity of the road leading to the port of Chornomorsk.
The tender was published on the public procurement website Prozorro.
The Black Sea branch of the State Enterprise “USPA” announced a tender for the reconstruction of the road infrastructure of the port of Chornomorsk in the area of checkpoint No. 2. The expected cost of the work is UAH 97.16 million.
“The modernization is designed to solve the problem of traffic jams and increase the capacity of the road leading to the port. The coating needs urgent updating – in most sections there are deep potholes and cracks, which complicate travel and pose a danger to drivers,” the USPA said.
The Administration recalled that during peak load periods, about 2,000 trucks go to the port every day and about the same number leave in the opposite direction. In the future, with the development of container transportation, this flow may increase by approximately 800 vehicles per day.
The reconstruction of checkpoint No. 2 and the adjacent transport infrastructure is part of a complex of projects aimed at ensuring that the road network complies with existing and prospective cargo flows.
“This will reduce congestion at the entrances to the city, increase export rates and improve traffic safety,” the department noted.
We remind you that also in early September, the USPA announced a tender for the overhaul of the berth at the port of Chornomorsk. The expected cost of construction work is UAH 61.4 million.
