The captain of the gas tanker attacked in Izmail ignored the warning about the danger, — the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The captain of the Turkish vessel ORINDA allegedly ignored a warning to leave the berthing front before the Russians struck the port of Izmail in the Odesa region.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
As Pletenchuk noted, “not all captains follow the instructions that are given regarding safety.”
“When the warning was given to leave the berthing front directly, in this particular case, it was simply ignored. And not only by this vessel, but also by two others that were damaged during this strike,” Pletenchuk explained.
The spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy also noted that the remaining vessels followed the instructions and left, so they did not receive any damage, and after the strike, the sailors joined the firefighting on the damaged vessel.
“In this case, this participation was decisive, because our firefighting capabilities on the water, of course, are greater than those of our colleagues from other structures. And after that, even the emergency rescue service was forced to take other actions in order to protect this vessel from possible attacks, because, of course, the safety of civil shipping is important to us, and we do everything to ensure it,” Pletenchuk noted.
Earlier, USM reported that the Russians could have deliberately attacked the gas tanker in Izmail.
