Ukrainian company tried to illegally export over 180 tons of soybeans across the border with Romania

The Ukrainian company planned to export soybeans by rail through the Vadul-Siret – Viksany checkpoint.
This was reported by the State Customs Service.
During the analysis of the specified delivery, customs officers had doubts about the validity of the information specified in the documents submitted for customs clearance. Therefore, a decision was made to carry out additional formalities.
Weighing the wagons with soybeans helped to establish discrepancies in the weight of the declared goods – the actual weight was 181.7 tons more net than indicated in the customs declaration.
A protocol on violation of customs rules was drawn up under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The cost of the goods that were attempted to be exported illegally is about 2.4 million hryvnias.
Earlier, USM reported that a vessel on which the court and the BEB had previously arrested a cargo of soybeans had left Ukraine.
