Russia is not capable of cutting off Ukraine from the Black Sea, — Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Due to limited resources, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is no longer able to perform even basic tasks.
Therefore, the search for excuses for the blockade of the Black Sea is part of Russia’s information campaign to disrupt peace talks, said the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, reports the Apostrophe.
He emphasized that even during a full-scale invasion in 2022, Russian warships were unable to completely block the sea lanes in the western and southwestern parts of the Black Sea, in particular in the economic zones of Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria.
According to Pletenchuk, with the remnants of the Black Sea Fleet, the Russians are not able to organize a full-fledged blockade, and to accompany their tankers they would have to leave Novorossiysk – which they cannot do.
“We need to come out of hiding in Novorossiysk and start fulfilling our direct duties. But it seems that the Black Sea Fleet will not be able to perform this function,” the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy explained.
Pletenchuk added that currently Russian ships are limited in resources, repair bases and the ability to perform tasks, so they are forced to protect their fleet and cannot effectively block Ukrainian ports.
Earlier, USM reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia would intensify attacks on Ukrainian ports and ships heading to them.
