Truck traffic on the Odesa-Reni highway has been suspended for an unknown period

On Friday, December 19, the movement of freight transport along the M-15 Odesa – Reni highway, in particular in the direction of the port, was suspended.

The decision was made by the Defense Council of the Odesa region, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported.

According to him, taking into account the operational situation in the region and in order to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling of the Odesa region, the movement of freight transport along the M-15 Odesa – Reni highway has been suspended from December 19, 2025.

“We ask the owners of transport companies and drivers to take into account the above information when planning freight transportation routes,” the head of the Regional Military Administration emphasized.

Reference. The M-15 highway begins in Odessa, passes through the village of Palanka in Moldova, Monashi, Saratu, Tatarbunary, Izmail, Reni (former highway P33) and ends at the Reni checkpoint, leading to Constanta in Romania.

As previously reported by USM, the Russians are attacking bridges on the way to ports in the south of the Odesa region in order to disrupt logistics and transport links towards the Danube.

Thus, on December 14, the Russians attacked the bridge in Zatoka with 40 Shahed-type kamikaze drones. The very next day, they began attacks on the bridge in Mayaki, which initially led to the closure of traffic on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway section.
