Russian sanctioned ship delivers military cargo to Libya

The sanctioned Russian ship Mys Zhelaniya, accompanied by a warship, delivered military cargo to Libya.

This was reported by Militarnyi with reference to the user SONARROW on the X network.

He published satellite images of the seaport of Tobruk. The sanctioned ship’s flight was under special supervision: it departed from Baltiysk, accompanied by the large anti-submarine ship of the 1155 project “Udaloy”.

The escort of a ship of this class indicates the high value of the delivered cargo, which is likely intended to support the Russian “African Corps” in the region.

The “Mys Zhelaniya” hid the port of destination in navigation systems, but the recorded route and preliminary intelligence confirmed the unloading in Tobruk.

In parallel, another sanctioned ship, Sparta IV, is currently heading towards the Syrian Tartus. It is highly likely that it is carrying military equipment, since the vessels have been traveling in pairs under the protection of a warship since leaving Baltiysk.

USM previously reported that about a dozen sanctioned tankers have left Venezuela amid US actions.
