Lukashenko proposed building a port in Mozambique for imports from Russia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has proposed building a port in Mozambique.
He said this following a meeting with the Speaker of the Senate of Zimbabwe, Mabel Memory Chinomona.
“We really need a foothold on the coast of the African continent – in the southeast. This means that we need to work together with Zimbabwe to build a port in your neighboring state – Mozambique. If we implemented this idea together with Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and in this case we can do it and restore the railway connection through your neighbor (there is a short distance) in Zimbabwe, then your country would become a good hub in southern Africa for goods, necessary products not only from Belarus, but also for goods from other countries. I think, first of all, Russia,” Lukashenko said.
USM previously reported that the occupation leader of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, declared his readiness to provide Belarus with part of the Azov-Black Sea coast.
