On the night of Tuesday, April 14, Russia attacked maritime infrastructure facilities in Izmail with strike drones.
This was reported by the USPA and Ministry of Development.
As a result of the attack, several hits were recorded in the port area. A civilian vessel under the Panamanian flag was also damaged, on which a fire broke out due to the hit.
“The fire was quickly extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The port is operating normally, taking into account safety restrictions,” the USPA noted.
The Ministry of Development added that individual elements of the infrastructure and equipment were damaged.
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, informed that as a result of the attack on the territory of the Izmail port, a berth and a barge were damaged.
Emergency and restoration work is underway at the site.
