The government appointed the head of the Shipping Administration


The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed a new head of the State Service for Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping.

This was announced by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

Thus, Serhiy Vasylovich Gurskyi was appointed as the new head of the State Service for Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping (or the Shipping Administration).

We will remind, on February 6, 2026, the acting head of the Shipping Administration was appointed the first deputy head of this department, Kononenko Yuriy Volodymyrovych.

Earlier, USM reported that in February 2025, Yevheniy Ignatenko was dismissed from the post of head of the Shipping Administration of Ukraine. The duties of the head of the department were temporarily assigned to Mykola Kravchuk. In July 2025, the government appointed Kravchuk as head of the department.

On February 9, Mykola Kravchuk announced that he was resigning from the post of head of the Shipping Administration. And the very next day, the Ministry of Development appointed Mykola Kravchuk to the position of Head of the State Enterprise “Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine”.
