Ukraine exported 2.43 million tons of grain in May, — Ministry of Economy


The main export volume has traditionally been corn, while overall shipment figures remain below last year’s levels.

As of May 22, Ukraine has exported 32.626 million tons of grain and leguminous crops since the beginning of the 2025/26 marketing year. This was reported by APK-Inform with reference to the Ministry of Economy.

Of this volume, 2.428 million tons were shipped in May. For comparison, as of May 23 last year, total exports amounted to 37.553 million tons, of which 2.285 million tons were shipped in May.

In the structure of exports since the beginning of the current season, the main volumes fell on corn – 18.536 million tons, of which 1.559 million tons were shipped in May.

Wheat exports amounted to 12.168 million tons (in May – 848 thousand tons), barley – 1.482 million tons (20 thousand tons), while rye supplies remain minimal – only 0.2 thousand tons.

Separately, it is noted that the total export of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season amounted to 56.1 thousand tons, of which 1.9 thousand tons fell in May. The main share is formed by wheat flour – 54.7 thousand tons.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that Ukrainian ports increased container turnover by 37%.
