Over 2 million tons of grain were exported by rail in May


92% of the specified volume of grain cargo was transported to the ports of Ukraine.

This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” with participants in the agricultural market, writes RAIL.insider.

Over the 26 days of May, 2 million 366 thousand tons of grain cargo were transported for export by rail. This is 2.1% higher than the same period in April.

92% of the specified volume was transported to the ports. Another 8% – through western border crossings.

In total, 2 million 604 thousand tons of grain were transported by rail over the 26 days of May. The indicator exceeds the volume of the previous month by 0.6%.

It should be noted that the average daily load volume for the reporting period was 90.4 thousand tons, which is 3.8% more than in April this year.
