The Mamai naval drone hit a “shadow fleet” tanker in the Black Sea

The Avero tanker was transporting Russian oil to China and India, circumventing the embargo.

The SBU hit the Russian “shadow fleet” tanker Avero in the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

The vessel was involved in the transportation of Russian crude oil during the G7 and EU oil embargo. It exported oil, in particular, to China and India. The tanker is under sanctions by Ukraine. The SBU’s Mamai sea drone operated on it.

This is the fourth “shadow fleet” tanker hit by the SBU in the past ten days. All vessels belong to the Suezmax class — large sea tankers for transporting significant volumes of oil and oil products.

On the same day, SBU drones hit three oil depots in the Stavropol Territory. The distance to the targets from the state border was about 600 km. Large-scale fires broke out at all three facilities, explosions and ignition of fuel tanks were recorded.

Also on the night of July 19, the SBS under the command of Robert “Magyar” Brovdy hit four Russian ships.
