Ukraine will attract a grant of €1.5 million for the digitalization of ship calls at ports

Ukraine will attract a grant from the European Union in the amount of 1.5 million euros for the implementation of a new stage of the Maritime Single Window system.

This was reported by the Ministry of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport.

According to the department, the new digital system will allow shipping companies and maritime agents to submit all information about ship calls through a single electronic portal.

According to Minister Mykola Kalashnyk, the implementation of the Maritime Single Window should simplify the procedures for calling ships at Ukrainian ports, accelerate the exchange of information between ports and state authorities, and help fulfill Ukraine’s European integration obligations.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to prepare the necessary legislative framework, determine the system management model, assess the integration of existing digital solutions, in particular DocPort, and develop a national data dictionary and an implementation roadmap.

The new stage of the project will be implemented in 2027-2028 with the support of the European Commission through the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).

USM previously reported that the USPA launched the DocPort system in the port of Pivdennyi, the end result of which should be the creation of a Single Maritime Window.
