Russian oligarch Kerimov’s confiscated yacht bought by Trump-linked Dubai billionaire

The new owner of the 106-meter superyacht “Amadea”, which the US confiscated from Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov, is 27-year-old Dubai billionaire Abbas Sajwani.

Sajwani purchased the yacht at a closed auction of the US government in September 2025. The current value of the vessel is estimated at approximately $250 million, while at the time of confiscation it was about $300 million.

The formal owner of Amadea is registered Beyond Holdings Group. Its headquarters are located at the same address in Dubai as the office of the DAMAC Properties development group, founded by Abbas’s father, Hussein Sajwani. Previously, Beyond Holdings Group was called AHS Four Company, which coincides with the initials of Abbas Hussein Sajwani.

The Sajwani family has long-standing business ties to US President Donald Trump. DAMAC has worked with the Trump Organization for years on real estate projects in Dubai, including Trump-branded residential complexes and golf courses.

After Trump returned to the White House, Hussein Sajwani also announced his intention to invest $20 billion in the construction of data centers in the United States.

According to Forbes, Abbas Sajwani uses “Amadea” not only for recreation, but also as a floating office for meetings with clients and partners.

The Amadea yacht was built in 2017 at the German shipyard Lürssen. It has a helipad, a swimming pool, a gym, two spa areas, eight guest cabins and can travel about 8,000 nautical miles without refueling.

The US seized the “Amadea” in 2022 in Fiji as part of a sanctions crackdown on assets linked to Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov.

Earlier, the superyacht “Amadea” belonging to sanctioned Russian oligarch Kerimov was sold at auction in the US.
