ARMA has put up for auction nine arrested vessels located in Izmail

Some of the ships, which were put up for auction for over UAH 151 million, were damaged as a result of Russian attacks.

The starting price of the entire lot is UAH 151 million 660 thousand 918, according to the Prozorro.Sales announcement.

Nine ships were put up for auction at once: Rondo, Svir, Omskiy-6 and Naviger-2, which have the flag of the Russian Federation, as well as Avangard, VolgoBalt 225, VolgoBalt 244 and Omskiy 132 – under the flag of Palau, and another ship VolgoBalt 193 – under the flag of the Union of the Comoros Islands.

All ships are actually located in Izmail, Odesa region.

The lot description noted that Rondo, due to a long downtime, has an unsatisfactory physical condition of the hull and mechanisms and requires comprehensive repairs.

The Svir is in the worst condition, having been damaged by enemy attacks, with its two engines partially submerged. There is a hole in the hold after a UAV hit, allowing water to enter. The vessel is aground, and the documentation states that if it fills with water further, there is a possibility of its complete flooding.

The VolgoBalt-225, VolgoBalt-244, and Naviger-2 also have damage from attacks. In particular, the VolgoBalt-244 has a hole in the hold. A similar situation with a hole and water ingress was recorded in Naviger-2.

The Omskiy-132 vessel has its engine room partially flooded. The asset description states that prolonged downtime without proper maintenance of the vessel’s safety could lead to an emergency.

Other vessels have also been idle for a long time and require comprehensive repairs of the hulls, mechanisms, and system checks.

The website also states that the buyer will have to take into account the possible costs of repairing the vessels, their safe maintenance, parking and mooring. The new owner will also independently decide on the registration of the vessels, changing the flag and issuing the relevant documents.

It should be noted that the acceptance of offers will last until October 7, 2026, 20:00, and the auction itself is scheduled for October 8 at 11:55. The bidding will be held in the format of a three-round English auction.
