Izmail port overfulfilled the cargo turnover plan

The Izmail port exceeded the monthly plan for the cargo turnover of ferrous metals and ore.

Ferrous metals transshipment volumes amounted to 38 thousand tons. This is twice as much as planned in January (18 thousand tons). The volume of ore transshipment is 13% ahead of the plan: 220 thousand tons instead of 190 thousand tons.

Positive dynamics is also observed in the volumes of crushed stone processing: this month, 10 thousand tons were shipped in the Izmail seaport.

“The port started importing this construction material in February last year. This was facilitated by the use of a new logistic scheme for the delivery of crushed stone to Ukraine. If earlier they used the railway for this, then, starting from 2021, they switched to the river fleet. Taking into account the growing volumes of road construction in our region, we can consider the transshipment of crushed stone as a fairly promising area of activity for the Izmail Seaport,” the press service of the port summed up.
