The port of Chornomorsk set a record for loading coal into wagons


State Enterprise “Commercial Seaport Chornomorsk” set an absolute record for loading coal into wagons in the first cargo district.

Thus, the employees of the state stevedore loaded 114 wagons or 7,866 tons of coal per day (from 8 am on January 29th to 8 am on January 30th).

In addition, during the day, 82 wagons (5,658 tons) of thermal coal were loaded in the port, which went to the Kryvyi Rih TPP, and 32 wagons (2,208 tons) of coking coal for the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant Metinvest.

During December-January, the berths of the first cargo district have accepted 4 vessels with coal with a total volume of 257 thousand tons. The state stevedoring company plans to accept and handle another vessel with 74,000 tons of thermal coal for Ukraine in mid-February 2022.
