Evergreen orders three more mega container ships

Taiwanese liner operator Evergreen has ordered three 24,000 TEU container ships.
The ships will be built at the Chinese shipyard Hudong Zhonghua. The cost of the vessels ranges from $160 million to $190 million. They are expected to be delivered in 2025.
In total, by 2025 the company will receive 64 new vessels. This is equivalent to 600,000 TEU of lifting capacity. Note that Evergreen’s total revenue in 2021 was 4 times more than in 2020, and amounted to about $17.6 billion.
