The forecast for the new grain harvest in Ukraine has increased
Analysts estimate the harvest of Ukrainian grain for 2022 from 54.1 to 55.7 million tons.
The grain harvest in Ukraine in 2022 may range from 54.1 to 55.7 million tons. When compared with the record of 86 million tons, such indicators show the impact of the russian invasion, as the area of harvesting has decreased.
“This year’s harvest may consist of 19 million tons of wheat, 30 million tons of corn, and 5.5 million tons of barley. A smaller harvest and logistical difficulties may reduce exports in 2022/23 July-June to 22.6-38.8 million tons,” analysts of APK-Inform noted.
Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine plans to export at least 45 million tons of the new crop.
