Turkey, acts in favor of extending the “grain agreement” for 6 months or a year
Turkey believes that the agreement on “grain corridors” with Ukraine should be extended for half a year or a year.
Earlier, on October 16, at the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov met with Minister of Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar. The parties discussed the implementation of the “Grain Initiative” and came to the conclusion that the agreement should be extended.
At present, the same opinion was expressed by the spokesman and adviser to the President of Turkey, Ibrahim Kalin, in an interview with the A Haber TV channel.
According to him, Turkey is in favor of extending the agreement for a period of three months to a year. The adviser to President Erdoğan also noted that Ukraine itself decides where to send grain, as it was before the war.
